The Britain–Nepal NGO Network (BRANNGO) successfully convened its networking and knowledge-sharing event on 19 November at the British Embassy, under the chairmanship of Mr. Nick Hinton, President of BRANNGO. The event was graciously hosted in the presence of H.E. Mr. Rob Fenn, British Ambassador to Nepal, reflecting the Embassy’s continued commitment to strengthening collaboration between the UK and Nepal’s development partners.
More than 15 UK-based organizations participated in the gathering, sharing updates on their development initiatives and the impact of their work in key sectors including education, livelihoods, health, community development, and social inclusion. The forum provided a valuable space for dialogue, experience-sharing, and strengthening collaboration among development partners working in Nepal.
Representing the British Embassy, Mrs. Pauline Seenan delivered a presentation on the British Development and Aid Programme in Nepal. She highlighted the programme’s strategic priorities and its long-standing commitment to inclusive growth, community resilience, and sustainable development across the country.
Mr. Dilip Singh Rai attended the event on behalf of New Futures Nepal UK, representing the Everest Mera Foundation (EMF), alongside Ms. Nirmala Bhandari from the Nirmala Foundation. Addressing fellow participants, Mr. Rai reflected on New Futures Nepal UK’s ten years of continuous support to Mahakulung, a remote Himalayan region whose residents significantly contribute to Mt. Everest tourism as seasonal workers. He emphasized the transformative impact of sustained investment in education, community welfare, and local capacity-building over the past decade.
